Forwarding email from another account

I recently reactivated an MSN email account for my wife.  She is receiving her emails which have been forwarded from her other email account (used trueswitch).  Because I was the primary account previously, MSN required me to also reactivate my MSN email.

I did not request trueswitch to forward my emails.  However, some emails (80%) and lots of Junk are being forwarded to my MSN email anyway.  How can I stop the forwarding for me and continue my wife's forwarding?

Hi JR5280,

I understand that you want to stop forwarding emails to another account.

Need more information:

a. What operating system are you using?

b. What is the version of MSN Software?

c. May I have the impacted email address?

Things to try:

To remove email forwarding:

Sign into hotmail website by visiting www.hotmail.com > Click Hotmail Inbox > Click options at the top right hand corner > click more options > Under Managing your account > Click Email Forwarding > Make sure to check Don’t Forward and then click Save.

To Add email forwarding:

Sign into hotmail website by visiting www.hotmail.com > Click Hotmail Inbox > Click options at the top right hand corner > click more options > Under Managing your account > Click Email Forwarding > Make sure to check Forward your mail to another email account and then in the box type the email address and if need keep a copy on Hotmail Inbox then click Save

Please reply back for further assistance.

Thanks!

Hi Husna,
FYI:
a. XP Home
b. I don't know how to determine this.  I found 2 folders MSXML 4.0 and 6.0???  I just downloaded the MSN software a few days ago.
c. {removed email address}

I looked at things to try for removing forwarding.  This would not solve my problem.

Here is how I want my email to work: If I receive email addressed to {removed email address} I want that mail to only be delivered to the q.com mailbox.  If I receive email addressed to {removed email address} I want that mail to be forwarded to {removed email address} and to not remain in the msn.com mailbox.  I don't want to have to access both accounts in order to delete mail.

In order to help part of the problem, I unchecked the box "Keep a copy of forwarded messages in Windows Live Hotmail".

If this arrangement can be made to work, will the {removed email address} email be identifiable in {removed email address} inbox so that I can know who is still using the msn address and send them a correction to use {removed email address} address?

Thanks for your help,
Jim Miles

Hi JR5280,

I understand that you wish to forward MSN emails to Q.com mailbox.

Things to try:

Sign into hotmail with MSN email address by visiting www.hotmail.com > Click Hotmail Inbox > Click options at the top right hand corner > click more options > Under Managing your account > Click Email Forwarding > Make sure to check Forward your mail to another email account and then in the box type the q.com email address and if need keep a copy on Hotmail Inbox then click Save.

2. Then send a test message to MSN email address and go to Q.com Inbox to check mails.

Please reply back for further assistance.
