Good luck with finding a solution to this problem. I too have had the same problem since the outlook server update in October of 2016. 2 calls to Tech Support proved futile .. Months of research on the web has turned up nothing. I have made changes to the DB30 & Db40 folders as suggested by others but still have connection problems and the "checking email indicator will flash for 20-30 seconds before syncing up with outlook ...
