I got a message from your folks that my MSN subscription would expire in April? i do not understand

I got a message suposedly from your folks that my MSN subscription would expire in April? i do not understand why it would expire. I checked my member ship and noted that my credit card doesn't expire until 2019 so why would my subscription expire? Are is the message a scam of some sort
