I have McAfee Personal Firewall Plus For MSN with my dial-up membership.   My version is as follows:  




Security Center Version 11.6.   


Virus Scan Version 15.6.   


Personal Firewall Version 12.6.   



Is any of this being upgraded?   I'm having trouble getting my McAfee updates done, and someone on the McAfee website forums suggested that I ask MSN what the latest version of my McAfee should be and if that is being upgraded.   The update I've been trying to do would take about 10-12 hours to complete at my rate of connection speed.   When I downloaded and installed my McAfee For MSN (when I got this computer), the whole thing took under 2 hours -- why would an update take 10-12 hours????

For the time you can download and install “Webroot Secure anywhere” for your computer protection from MSN Membercenter ( https://membercenter.msn.com/features.aspx?pa=MC_ART_Spyware ) if you have uninstalled McAfee Security Software.

Jeeva -- Thank you so much for your reply; I will convey it to the moderator on the McAfee forums.   It seems to me that he should know about this issue that you've described, but I will pass it along.   I have not uninstalled the McAfee Security software; every time there is a "glitch" on McAfee, it has turned out to be a problem at their end, so I do not rush to uninstall anything.   Once they fix it, it works fine after that.   Thank you again for the information.   Have a good weekend.   If you get any more information on the fix or when it is in place, I would appreciate an update from you, if you would be so kind.   Thank you.

Apparently, all is well now.   I've just been able to update my McAfee program with no further difficulty.   Thank you for the information you gave me -- it was a help to me and (I'm sure) to the McAfee forum moderators.
