Tech support from Bank of America says MSN settings may be the issue. I was able to log on to my bank account  using internet explorer but when I try using MSN I get their homepage it asks me for my online ID which I provide and then I correctly answer a security question. It is at this point I am having the problem. Nothing happens after I answer the security question. The Bank of America tech rep said it appears MSN is not "turning the pages". Anyway, I would appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The tech you talked to might not have known yet but BoA has recognized that there is an update on their end. With this update, they recommend using Internet Explorer 9, since there is an incompatibility with MSN.

I have been having problems with Internet Explorer/MSN Explorer - So many times I can't get to a site I want  or I will get the message "Internet Explorer has had a problem & needs to close" - then I lose everything.

I do some of my banking online and the other day I could not get my online bank accounts to open.  I finally called the bank & they told me it was an Internet Explorer/MSN Explorer problem and advised me to download Google Chrome.  I did and it owrks fine, can open my accounts that way, but still can't do it with Internet Explorer.

Do you have to fix this, can I fix this, do I need to download something, or should I just forget it???

There were updates on their site and those are not really compatible with the MSN Explorer. Internet Explorer 9 should work, in most cases, unless they recommend otherwise.

Is MSN planning an update to take care of this situation with B of A or not.  Seems to me like they should keep up with whatever the bank does, after all MSN has a lot of customers that also use B of A.  It has worked for so many years, why can't it be fixed now??  I can always use Google Chrome, but is a little inconvenient since I am set up with MSN.

It will, of course, be investigated.

I have not been able to get into my B of A Account - I have not been able to navigate around MSN,and I have been about 30 minutes getting MSN to get me into the MSN Solution Center - when is MSN Explorer going to upgrade???

It was an update on the BOA site that changed the way the site is accessed on MSN. The coder of their site has not considered all the browsers out in the market for this update. They are recommending the use of Internet Explorer 9 instead. But I am pretty sure this will get updated on the MSN Explorer once the investigation on what has changed is finished.

I understand about the upgrade by B of A.  However; I'm experiencing an extremely slow response just trying to navigate around in MSN itself.  It took me forever to get to the MSN solution center, it takes nearly a minute to switch from in-box to sent mail, when calling up a "favorite" it takes a long long time, sometimes takes over a minute to sign in - I could go on and on with these examples - this seemed to start at the same time that the B of A problem first raised it's ugly head.  Is this also an MSN Explorer problem???

In that case, you can try refreshing the local data store:

1. Sign out of MSN
2. Start MSN but do not sign in yet
3. Press CTRL SHIFT and F9 together. When done properly, it gives an option to remove data. Proceed to remove (basically means refresh)

4. Click Start , then on Run.
5. Type inetcpl.cpl and click Ok
6. Proceed to delete Cookies and temporary files, along with browsing history under General tab.
7. Go to the advanced tab and proceed to click on Reset.

Sign into MSN after resetting.
