When I click on the MSN icon to open the dashboard, it will not open.  However, when the mouse hovers over, I can see the page.

Hi,

What part of the msn software does this happen? is this on the sign in screen or is it on the application on the right hand side of the software after signing in?

Do you notice as well if there is a continious houglass when you load the hiomepage?

Thanks!

Paolo M.

Hi.  I can sign in. But after,  when I try to open MSN, by clicking on the icon located on the task bar, it will not open.  When the mouse hovers over the icon, I can see the page but a double click will not open it.  Thank you.

To be clearer; normally after sign in, the MSN inbox opens automatically.  Now it doesn't.  I tried clicking on the icon to open it but this doesn't work.  But it is apparently open but will not appear in any other way except the preview when the mouse hovers over.

Hi,

Can you verify if you can open MSN when you click on the preview window when you hover the mouse to the MSN icon on the taskbar? Also, can you verify that when you click on Start Menu, you can open MSN from there? We'll wait for your reply. Thanks.

Paolo M.

Hi Paolo.  When I click on the preview window on the taskbar that I can see when I hover the mouse, it does not open.  When I click on the start menu MSN, it will only open another window that I can see when I hover the mouse.

When I am signed out of MSN, I can sign in by clicking on the MSN in the start menu.  After that, it's only previews.  Thank you for your help.

There is a possibility that MSN is corrupted and needs to be fixed. Most likely, we'll perform clean uninstall of MSN. Please check the Private Message area below for further information. Make sure that you are signed in to be able to see this area.

Hello again Paolo.  When I try to uninstall MSN from programs and features, the installation wizard won't work.  It says I'm not connected to the internet.  Woe is me!

I was able to uninstall MSN and followed your directions.  Problem solved.  Thank you Paolo.
