I lost the Butterfly icon from the toolbar and canot access my old home page and all the info on it

The space that the butterfly tookup is now a blank page. Clicking on it does not take me to my old home page or anyplace else. How do I get it back?

Thanks for using the MSN Solution Center Answers Forum.

 

Do you use MSN software or Internet Explorer to access MSN homepage?

 

If MSN software then follow the below instructions:

 

To find and create MSN shortcut on desktop

 

For WinXP :

1) Click on 'My Computer'

2) Click on Local drive (default is C:\)

3) Click on 'Program Files' folder

4) Click on 'MSN' folder

5) Right click on the butterfly icon

6) Point the mouse over to the "Send to" option

7) Click on Desktop (Create shortcut)

 

For Win vista \Win 7

1) Click on ' Computer'

2) Double click on Local drive (default is C:\)

3) Click on 'Program Files' folder (For vista64bit click Program filesx86)

4) Click on 'MSN' folder

5) Right click on the butterfly icon

6) Point the mouse over to the "Send to" option

7) Click on Desktop (Create shortcut)

 

Sign into MSN software > Click Help and Settings > Click Settings > Click set the homepage > Select Use My MSN as the homepage and then click Save Changes.

 

If you use Internet Explorer:

 

Open Internet Explorer > At the top right click Tools > Click on Internet Options > Under Homepage type the address http://my.msn.com/  and then click Apply and Ok.
