MSN Weather App not working in 8.1

Just noticed that the MSN weather app is not working on my 8.1 tablet and is not live any-more.
Same on my wife's tablet too.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times on both.
It works for one time then goes to blue with the rotating wait blobs.
Or goes dark grey blank.

Seen some topic like this around on a search.
No answers though.

I have not reset anything, or altered any settings on either.

Oh Dear found a 12 page forum on Microsoft Community.
Been a problem since an update end of September.

States Microsoft gone quiet and will not acknowledge a problem. One guy has counted 130 with the fault.
Some workarounds relating to renaming files/folders and turning off auto updates and reverting to previous App

Not happy about that.

Cannot understand why this forum is not full of queries either.

It is a MSN app is it not
