error message-  msn has stopped working running vista, and it won't let me unimstall to install another

Hi Wookie58,

Please follow the instructions below to create a new shortcut on the desktop.


For Win Vista / Win 7 


  1. Click on‘computer’
  2. Click on‘local drive C’
  3. Click on‘Program files’
  4. Click on the folder‘MSN’
  5. Click on the folder‘MSN Corefiles’
  6. Check for the Butterfly icon which says‘MSN.exe’
  7. Right click on‘MSN.exe’, in the dropdown click on ‘Send to’ Desktop ( create shortcut)

 

Note: In case if you are unable to view the‘MSN Corefiles’, it will be hidden it needs to be unhidden, please find the below given instructions:

      a. Click‘Organize’, ‘Folder and Search options’, then ‘View’

      b. Put a dot on‘Show hidden files and folders’

      c. Uncheck the‘Hide extensions for known file types’ and ‘Hide protected operating system files options’ .

      d. Click‘Apply’, then ‘OK’
