Hello,

We are currently investigating this issue and have a workaround (see below). Customers who are on  the dialup service and using the acclerator feature or if the accelerator feature is turned on is when this issue has been noticed. Are you on dialup or a DSL connection?

1. Sign out of MSN Explorer software
2. Open Internet Explorer browser
3. Click on Tools, then click Internet Options
4. Now click the Advanced tab
5. Scroll down until you see HTTP 1.1 settings
6. Select the checkbox next to Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections
7. Click Apply and click Ok
8. Now, log into the MSN Explorer software, click on the Bing button

If you are still seeing the same issue or if you already have the option to use Http 1.1 enabled, please do let me know.

Thanks,
Shubha

I followed through with your suggestion. Bing search seems to be working fine now. Not sure how that HTTP setting got changed. Bing was working, up untill had I contacted you, but that doesn't matter now. I learn something new all the time. I'd like to thank you for working diligently to solve this problem so quickly. You all do a great job in supporting our needs. Again, THANK YOU!! Syn

One solution worked one had no effect after going to Bing home page.

Sorry this did not work. Setting the HTTP 1.1 through proxy setting on dialup had only a temporay effect. After several searches under Bing it will creep back. Same problem persist after log off and logging in again. It temporary especially if I try to go to the Bing home page on MSN explorer using the quick access buttion.

Only two things have worked some what effectivly. Resetting the control panel tempory internet fille history to "everytime I visit the web page" under browsing history settings. This has to be reset evey time I log on or open MSN explorer again. As long as your signed in to MSN this works through an entire session until you log off.

Hi,
I too am having that problem. It seems that the HTTP1.1 proxy setting doesn't stay checked, only temporay. Not sure what's causing it to become disabled, but I just go back in and check it when I need to use bing. I'm sure they will figure it out. Just keep in touch with them so they get info and can work on the problem. I know it's irritating, but they'll figure it out. Have a good day all. Syn

Hello,
FYI - Your instructons were helpful but only tempory. It seems the HTTP 1.1 proxy setting becomes disabled after a certain amount of time. Don't know what is causing that but I am sure you all are working on it. Thanks for your help. Syn
