How do I get MSN to stop blocking some of the attachments that are sent to me???  These files are from my trusted contacts and I need them to run my business.

One of the extensions is ".mdb" which is a database file.

Thank you

Hi,

.mdb file is one of the file formats that are blocked by MSN. MSN blocks these file formats, because they are potentially dangerous. Additionally, MSN and Windows Live Hotmail use a trusted anti-virus program to help detect viruses in incoming e-mail attachments. If a virus is detected, the attachment is removed.

Additionally, If a file can run as a program on your computer, the file is considered unsafe. If the file can run as a program, the file can damage the system, collect your personal information, or spread a computer virus.

If you consider the file attachment as safe, you can have the sender re-sends the email in a zip format.

Hope this helps.

Paolo M.
