Do I need to pay for dial up to keep my email address

I have been on MSN dial up for many years.  I have not needed it now for a number of years.  I would like to keep my email address as it is but if I cancel MSN dial up will I have to change it?

If you decide to cancel your MSN Dial-up subscription, your email addresses will remain as is and will continue to be accessible via hotmail.com using any browser you prefer. But make sure that you have not exceeded the 5GB or 5,000 MB limit for free email accounts since you may lose them if you do not sign up. You may check your email storage by logging in to Hotmail and pointing on the Folders at the upper left side and clicking on the gear icon to select Manage folders.

You may also opt to switch to the MSN Premium plan, which retains all of the enhanced features of your email address minus the dial-up features.

You may choose to switch to the following plans:

> $9.95 monthly
or
> $89.95 yearly

If you would like to switch to any of the plans I've mentioned, you may get in touch with our MSN Customer Service team via chat or phone by logging in to http://support.msn.com

I hope these information helped. Feel free to reply to this post for any questions and feedback.

Thanks!

I no longer need the software provided through MSN Premium.  If I cancel my MSN Premium account, can I retain {removed email address} email address and continue to access my email with MS Outlook?

I have the MSN Economy package.  My computer had a problem and was no longer able to connect to the internet (and thus lost all my MSN favorites).  When I bought a new computer, I started using a different browser rather than the MSN explorer page.  I am happy with this switch and don't plan to renew my MSN subscription when it expires but want to know if I can keep my msn email address and continue to access it via hotmail, even without this paid subscription.

I am looking to upgrade my computer, and, strangely enough, they don't seem to sell any that have a modem for dial up...?  (Ahhh...the good-old days.)

I am wondering if I change to a dsl-type service, will I lose my msn.com e-mail address?  I am able to access my e-mail over the internet (the only way I have been able to get my e-mails, since I don't turn on my vintage '98 e-machine any more), so will I be able to after I make the change?

Thank you for your time!
