Qwest keeps bugging me that I need to do something by June 30, now passed. I already did what i was supposed to do and paid you for a year. Just want to be sure my account is all up to date.

Hi easybake,

We see you have already signed up for the MSN premium subscription, to remove the popup message and the Qwest logo from the MSN software; we need to perform a clean uninstallation and reinstallation of the MSN software. Please find the steps given below:

We need to take a backup your emails stored under 'Folders on computer' and favorites on the MSN before we do clean uninstallation and reinstallation of the MSN software.

To take a back up of favorites, please find the below location to find the MSN6 folder:

For Win XP: C:\documents and settings\user\application data\MSN6

For Win vista and Win 7 c:\users\<USER NAME>\appdata\roaming\MSN6

Note :( Copy the folder which says MSN6 and save it to desktop without fail.)

Step 1:

Before you could uninstall the MSN software. Make sure you take backup of all the emails saved on ‘folders on computer’, please find the steps in the below given link:

http://answers.msn.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=d830f08c-414d-49ae-91cb-df58aa44832f

(NOTE: If you are doing this process on several e-mail accounts, please change the last part of the file name so that you can identify the e-mail back-up. For example, instead of leaving it as MSN_Mail.msnbak you can change it to MSN_{EmailAddress1}.msnbak then later MSN_{EmailAddress2}.msnbak)

Step2: Remove the MSN software and the QWEST Pop-up Promo and Reinstall the MSN software

1. Clear your Qwest account information from your system: Start MSN Explorer.

2. On the Welcome screen, click your name, but do not sign in.

3. Press the CTRL+SHIFT+F11 keys at the same time.

4. Click Remove Accounts and click yes to confirm.

5. Once the above steps have been completed, we need to perform a clean uninstallation of the MSN software Please find the steps in the below given link:
