Can't reinstall McAfee Anti-Virus Plus

I had to uninstall my McAfee Anti-Virus Plus because I had to restore my computer to an earlier date when I wasn't having a problem.  I chose 11/19/14 - a date McAfee had done some updates.  The computer was restored but McAfee keep saying I wasn't protected and would not replace the updates.  I uninstalled McAfee and tried to reinstall it through MSN Member Center and keep getting the following message:  We're sorry, but there are no programs you can install from this McAfee account.  Please log in with another McAfee account and try installing again.  What is going on?  Thanks.

Horse Lady  --  If I might suggest something that worked for me.....I recently went through what you've described, too, and found that doing the McAfee Removal Tool step and the reinstalling of the McAfee program worked if I opened MSN Explorer to do them, rather than Internet Explorer as has been recommended in the instructions.   When I tried doing it on another occasion through IE, I got the message that you got (as did another poster).   When I did it again, but used MSN Explorer instead of IE, it went through with no problem.   mrshvd3.

2. Go to: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

Instead of doing the above, go search for "McAfee MCPR" and find the latest executeable. The one above is outdated.

After a few frustrating tries using IE, I installed "MSN Explorer" and I finally got it working.
