Can't Change Display Name

I go to Settings, Change Display Name and type in a new name, but when I click on Save Changes nothing happens.  That is, the new name is not accepted by the software.  I then have to click Cancel to exit the Change Display Name option.

The link sent me to the same thing I had already tried.  I can change my display pic with no problem.  BUT the display name will not change.  I am frustrated.

Hi SherFL,

I can understand you frustration, that you are not able to change the Display name.

To fix the problem, First you need to have the current version Windows Live messenger installed on your computer.

If in case you do not have Windows Live Messenger installed, Please install by visiting our support website at http://www.explore.live.com 

If you have current Version of Windows Live messenger installed. change the display name on Windows Live messenger first and then sign in to MSN Premium software and then try to change the display name on MSN.

Did that. I changed the name in Messenger and it shows up in Messenger.  Went to MSN premium and I still can't change the name.  The reason I need to change the display name is that when I sign in to MSN, there are 4 choices.  The one I use is always at the bottom and I have to scroll down.  2 choices are ones I have connected to the last one, so I rarely sign into them.  I want to rename the display names so my used connection is at the top, not the bottom.
