Bill 345 (and others) -- After much agonizing, I finally figured out that you have to sign in in order to see the private message area.  Look for the sign-in spot at the upper right hand corner.  HOWEVER -- once I got access to the elusive private message and read through it, it seemed not only hopelessly complicated but somewhat risky to anyone who isn't highly experienced.  I also checked a couple of the third party apps that supposedly handle the transfer, but they don;t work.  So -- sad to say --I'm in process of copying and pasting one by one by one by one . . . . ..

Hello Bill,

Kindly click the Sign in option at the upper right side of the page and sign in with your email address and password. You will then be able to see the Private Message area below. Also, the Private Message area can only be seen by the person who posted their concern and to whom we replied to.

Hope this helps!
Isabelle

Hello Penny,

Not to worry, as long as you don't delete anything on the Registry Editor, then you're safe. As for exporting the favorites, you are correct in mentioning that it cannot be automatically exported to Internet Explorer or any browser. You will have to do it one favorite at a time.

Hope this helps!

Please copy it then paste this on Internet Explorer so you can add it as a favorite there. If you have a long list of Favorites and would like to back them up first, please check the Private Message area below.

Feel free to reply to this post for any questions and feedback.

xyz741,

The answer is provided to those who need it. While we provide it, note that it makes use of the registry editor. A computer can easily get damaged if something in the registry gets accidentally changed, or incorrectly handled. Also, this is to avoid users from accessing the file when there is a problem with their favorites. It is a last resort to access it but we are providing it to users who want to get their long list of favorites since it's the only way.

i tjink i know how to get to your "private message", i asked the same ? about backing up favorites & when you have msn e-mail you the answer you open up your e-mail & sign in at the top & low & behold there is your ? answered from msn. they gave me step by step instructions on how to back them up, but it involves going into the registery, which i'm quite nervous about because you can really screw up your computer if you don't follow it explicitly. hope this helps . this has been driving me crazy trying to find "private message" :( :(
