Using Internet Explorer I can get in to my Bank of America online.  I prefer MSN bouser since thats where all my favorites are, and with Explorer I do not have a favorites list so I have to type in the address.  This is the only one I cannot address so far.

My browser is MSN. I have been using it for several years and I would like to keep on using it. However it has developed a problem.  I cannot access my bank account. It is fine up until it reaches the “sign in” at which time it goes dead. After 10 minutes it states that my session has “timed out”, assuming that I was actually accessing, and using the site. This doesn’t happen if I switch to Internet Explorer Browser. But I really want to stay with MSN as my browser. I have re-installed MSN using the MSN Premium CD disc which I had received recently, to no avail.

Thank you,

Lou Carretta

Hello TRLRLDY,

An update on the Bank of America (BoFA) website does not load properly on the MSN broswer. We recommend that customers upgrade their Internet Explorer broswer to version 9. You may download it from this link:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/products/ie/home

We are also investigating why there are some customers who are still unable to access the BoFA web site even after the upgrade. Be assured that we are working diligently on this.

We will provide you with an update as soon as we get information from our Product group.

We appreciate your patience.

Sincerely,
Sophie

An update to this case:

If you are unable to sign into your Bank of America online account while using MSN Explorer, please try the following:

1) Open a new window in MSN Explorer and go to https://BankofAmerica.com.
2) Enter your Online ID and click Sign In.
3) Verify your Site Code and type your Passcode, but do NOT click the Sign In button.
4) Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
5) The sign in process should complete successfully.

Note: Until a permanent fix is released, the Enter key will need to be used each time you sign into your Bank of America online account.

Tell us if this temporary workaround works for you. We're still working on a permanent fix.

Appears that MSN Explorer is not supported by Bank of America (bofa) Website any longer.  Have been using MSN Explorer for many years.  Bofa suggests it is an MSN issue.  This may be true as I can sign in using the regular Internet Explorer.  This happens on all my computers

I was able to sign in and login to a financial account before using MSN, I no longer can.  I can login alright but when it asks for a password it seems like it goes to never never land.  I can login and sign in to this same account however using, Firefox 7.01 or Internet Explorer 8 on this same desktop computer.  In addition I can login into this same account using my laptop with Internet Explorer 9 and with my Ipad using Safari.  So it does not appear to be a password problem but a MSN problem.
