To fix this issue you have to perform Uninstall and reinstall MSN. you can follow the instructions below.
Remove MSN Explorer using the Add/Remove Programs
Caution: You will be unable to access e-mail messages saved on your computer after removing the MSN Explorer software. Before removal, make sure that you back up all archived e-mail messages that you may have saved on your computer, click http://answers.msn.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=d830f08c-414d-49ae-91cb-df58aa44832ffor steps. Windows 7 & Vista :
1: Exit all programs that are running.
2: Click Start, then click Control Panel.
3: In Control Panel, click Programs.
4: Click Uninstall a program.
5: Select MSN Explorer and click Uninstall.
6: Click MSN Internet Software, MSN, or MSN Internet Access, then click Uninstall.
7: If you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the program, click OK.
Windows XP :
1: Exit all programs that are running.
2: Click Start, then click Control Panel.
3: Click Add or Remove Programs.
4: Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
5: Clear the MSN Explorer check box, click Next, then click Finish.
6: Click Change or Remove Programs, click MSN Internet Software, MSN, or MSN Internet Access, then click Remove.
7: If you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the program, click OK.
To Reinstall MSN :
Dial-up customers: Since MSN Explorer provides your internet connection, you will not be able to follow the steps to install MSN Explorer online. Follow the instructions to order and install from a CD here. If you do not have a Dial-up CD please order a CD at http://cdorder.msn.com
Broadband Users: Ensure you are connected to the internet before downloading and installing the Client Software.
1. Open a new browser, go to https://membercenter.msn.com/download.aspx
2. Click “Install Now”
3. Click “Run” when prompted and follow the download instructions
4. Click on “MSN Installer”. It may take up to a minute or two for the Installer icon to appear on the desktop
5. On the Are you currently connected to the Internet? page please selects I'm currently connected to the Internet and click Next
6. On the next screen please enter your email address/password and click Next
Note: If you have a dial-up subscription and are currently using DSL or LAN connection, on the Configure Dial-up Internet Access Now? Page please choose No, I'll configure Dial-Up Internet Access later and click Next
7. Enter your name as shown on the Review and sign the agreements page and click I Accept
8. Click Next to complete installation
9.Once the installation has completed the install wizard will close and you should click on the MSN.exe on your desktop to launch the MSN Client.
