E-mail attachments are checked for viruses prior to download to help ensure that your machine is not accidentally infected with a virus. Since viruses can be sent as an attachment, MSN advises you not to open any attachment that fails the Virus Scan. If you believe an attachment is not infected, but it does not pass MSN’s Virus Scan, reply to the email and ask the user to first use a Zip compression program to package the attachment prior to attaching it. Tip: Verify e-mails are from a trusted source before you download their attachments.
