How to verify that the MSN Dialer is using a valid access number?

For MSN 8.x, 9.x, 10.x

1.     Close all windows and programs.

2.     Start MSN, do not sign in.

3.     Click Connection Settings.

4.     Select the location that you want to verify.

5.     Select Make Changes to this Location, click Next.

6.     Verify the location name and the connection type, click Next.

7.     Make sure that the local access number and dialing options for that number are correct, then click Next.

Note: Contact your telephone company to confirm that the numbers that you select are local numbers for your area. You are responsible for any long-distance charges; MSN will not reimburse you for long-distance charges.

8.     Make sure that the correct area code dialing options are selected for each number.

9.     Click Next, then click Finish.
