How to verify which program is set as the default dial-up connection on my computer?
 

For all operating systems versions

1.     Click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl, then click OK to open the Internet Properties dialog box.

2.     Click the Connections tab.

3.     Under Dial-up and Virtual Private Networking settings, note the default connection.

·         If MSN is the default connection, you are using MSN 10.x or 9.x to dial the correct connection, not a Dial-Up Networking connection.

·         If MSN Explorer is the default connection, you are using MSN 7.x or MSN 8.x to dial the correct connection, not a Dial-Up Networking connection.

·         If MSN Internet Access is the default connection, you are using MSN 6.x or earlier to dial the correct connection, not a Dial-Up Networking connection.

·         If the default is set to anything else, you are not using the MSN Dialer to connect to the Internet.
