Hi Richard,

 

A backend fix has begin applied on the server end for the account. And also check if the option under hotmail ‘HTTPS’ is unchecked. Please find the steps below to uncheck the ‘HTTPS’ option if it is checked:
 

 

  1. Login in to http://www.hotmail.com/ using your email id and password
  2. Click on ‘Options’ in the dropdown click on ‘More options’
  3. Under ‘Managing your account’ click on ‘Account details’ (password, aliases, timezone)
  4. Under ‘Other options’ click on ‘Connect with HTTPS’
  5. Check the box ‘Don’t use HTTPS automatically’
  6. Click on ‘Save’

If you have added the email account as a ‘POP3’ account, please find the below steps to remove the ‘POP3’ account

  1. Sign in to your MSN account with the butterfly
  2. Click on Help & Settings
  3. In the drop down click on Settings and click on Change your email settings
  4. Click on Additional email accounts and click on POP3 email accounts
  5. Select the email account which  you want to remove and click on Remove account
  6. Click on Done.
