Hi,

We need few details to see if we can retrieve the favorites.

1. What operating system are you using?
2. What is the Version of MSN software?
3. Sign into MSN > Click Help and Settings > click status and support > In the left pane click on System information > Please scroll down and check the Roaming version of favorites. 
4. For Win Xp:
Click start and then click Run and type - C:\Document and Settings
a. Click ‘Tools’, ‘Folder options’, and then ‘View’
b. Put a dot on ‘Show hidden files and folders’
c. Uncheck the ‘Hide extensions for known file types’
d. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
e. Click ‘Apply’, then ‘OK’
f. Click start and in Run command windows type C:\Document and Settings\ <USER NAME> \Application Data\MSN6\
(Right click on MSN6 click copy and then go to desktop and paste it.)

For Win Vista and Win7:
Click start and in start search box type - C:\Users\
a. Click ‘Organize, Click on Folder and Search options’, and then ‘View’
b. Put a dot on ‘Show hidden files and folders’
c. Uncheck the ‘Hide extensions for known file types’
d. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
e. Click ‘Apply’, then ‘OK’
f. Click start and in start search type %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\MSN6
(Right click on MSN6 click copy and then go to desktop and paste it.)

5. The favorites.xml file is under MSN6 folder - User data- If you use multiple accounts, you will see multiple folders with numbers and alphabets so please open each one of the folders and check the size of favorites.xml files.
 
Let us know the size of favorites.xml for further assistance.
