Hello Pat,

The best way to prevent your account from being hacked is to strengthen your account security information, including changing your password.

You can make the changes to your security info at
https://account.live.com/proofs/MarkLost

it will also be a good idea to change the password. You shouldn't make it a password that you use for any other accounts.
