If you cancel the MSN subscription, your email address will remain as is and will be accessible via hotmail.com. But make sure that you have not exceeded the 5GB or 5,000 MB limit for free email accounts since you may lose them if you do not sign up. You may check your email storage by logging in to Hotmail and pointing on the Folders at the upper left side and clicking on the gear icon to select Manage folders.

Check the features that were mentioned by Sophie previously as to the features that will be changed if you cancel the account.
