I tried everything you said, but my favorites are still gone!  Is there any way to send me a list of my favorites?  I don't mind having to put them in manually.

What I don't get is why I lost them in the first place.  I didn't change any settings or move or delete any programs or files recently, so I don't know what could have brought this on!  If I did, I'd make sure not to do it again!
