icon on my desktop for FAVORITES
Latest post: Paolo M., Monday, May 21, 2012 1:44 PM
Until about 3 months ago, I had an icon on my desktop for FAVORITES.   As I recall, it was very simple to set up.  Did it several different times by going to a Microsoft website and following instructions.  Now, I can not find that website nor any instructions.  Please help!

HELLO PAOLO,Thanks for your response.I am giving up on this because I just spent a long time typing a long  response in reply to your questions and it disappeared!Briefly, (1) I do not believe it had a star -- I first got it when I had Windows ME.  (2) when I opened the FAVORITES on my desktop, it was the complete folder that was in my email accounts  (3) I now have Windows Vista & it was working fine on this computer.I did a full recovery on this computer in March 2012 and that is when I lost the FAVORITES icon from my desktop.  I can put the icon on my desktop now, but it doesn't work with the full long list (about 100 entries).  I think is has something to do with IE9.After posting my query, I think there was a response which was gibberish to me.  I am not that computer literate.  I may have done something wrong, because later I could not even access my MSN email account. Later, I recovered it by restoring my computer to an earlier date. Thanks for your help.Linda

Hi Linda,Thank you for your response. The favorites folder that you have on your desktop would be the favorites saved on Internet Explorer. If you have other questions with this matter, it would be best if you go to http://support.microsoft.com/.Thanks for your time,Paolo M.
