My MSN favorites disappeared last night.  I went through an uninstall reinstall, tried the CTRL SHFT f9 fix,, and tried the repair tool.  My Favorites will not repopulate, but you can see them from MSN.  I have never seen them not repopulate before.What is going on?I hope that someone can get them back on my  MSN.

We'll need to take a look at the files in the local data store on your computer. Upload them so we can check.1. Sign out of MSN.2. Click Start3. Click Run4. Type %appdata%/msn6/userdata5. Click Ok6. Click on the View menu and select Thumbnail7. Open the folder that has your display picture on it8. Look for the favcache and favorites file9. Upload those files in the private area right below this. You need to be signed in to see that.

I see my files, and your tech did as well.Please let me know how we can recover these to My Favorites on my MSN Premium.The corrupt file fix is not working,and again neither did the reinstall or the F9 task.I would appreciate help as soon as possible as I spent all day on this yesterday.Thank you.

I did a test with the files you provided and these contain your links. I was actually able to load it on a test station here. Something in the computer you are using is out of synch with the other files. Let's try to do a clean uninstallation and reinstallation of the software. First, create a backup of the MSN6 folder:1. Sign out of MSN.2. Click Start3. Click Run4. Type %appdata%5. Copy the MSN6 folder over to your Desktop6. After that, delete the original MSN6 and proceed with the steps below (private message area)

As you can see from the title of my post, we already did the uninstall reinstall.It did not repopulate.Fortunately, your technician (via phone) found the files on my computer under MSN6.  A different person used that to restore my Favorites yesterday.Again, uninstall did not work.F9 did not work.And your technician said your corrupt favorites fix, no longers works.I hope it helps someone else to know that if they can locate the files on their computer, your technicians can restore them.I also wish things had just repopulated as they had in the past.I also think MSN needs to post a message to this site to inform people that a new error correction corrupt file fix is being worked on (that according to your technician).I'm planning to list out my Favorites, and move them somewhere more safe in case this happens again.MSN seems to have an awful lot of problems.

Was it a clean uninstallation, with the removal of all the Program Files items, Registry items, along with removal of the MSN 6 folder as I mentioned earlier?

I dont think so, because saving msn6 to the desktop was the first tech's plan.  The next tech used those files to put Favorites back.  First person didnt take your approach.
