SYMPTOMS:

Emails you’ve sent don’t appear in the Sent messages folder.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

Solution 1: If you don’t see copies of your sent email, follow these steps to figure out where your sent email is being saved:

1.     Sign in to MSN Explorer.

2.     Click the Mail & More icon.

3.     From the menu bar click Help and Settings, and then click E-mail Settings.

4.     Click Email options.

·         If Save a copy of each sent message in the Sent Messages folder on MSN is checked, click Sent Messages under Folders on MSN to see copies of your sent emails.

·         If Save a copy of each sent message in the Sent Messages folder on this computer is checked, click Sent Messages under Folders on your Computer to see copies of your sent emails.

If both of these options are checked, copies of your sent emails can be found in both locations.

Solution 2: Sometimes emails appear to be missing because they have been moved to another folder by mistake. There are two methods you can use to find these moved emails.

A.    Manually checking for Missing emails.

1.     Click on each of the folders that appear below your inbox under Folders on MSN to check for your missing messages.

2.     Click on the Inbox and all folders listed under Folders on my computer to check for your missing messages.

B.    Using search to find missing emails.

1.     Sign in to MSN Explorer.

2.     Click the Mail & More icon.

3.     Click the Find a specific message icon (an envelope and magnifying glass, on the row of icons above the window that shows your email messages).
