{01}Update my Credit Card Information

You can update your Credit Card expiration date and/or add a new Credit Card on your account online.

1. Open a browser and go to http://billing.microsoft.com, sign into the Billing and Account Management website with your e-mail address and password.

2. Under Your payment methods, click Edit payment method information.

Note: If you do not see "Edit payment method information" on the Billing home page, first click on your payment method, then click Go to payment method information, and then click Edit payment method information.

3. On the Edit payment method information page, enter the updated credit card expiration date, and then click Save. You will receive a Your billing information has been updated message if the expiration date has been updated successfully.

{02}Install MSN Software

Dial-up customers: Since MSN Explorer provides your internet connection, you will not be able to follow the steps to install MSN Explorer online. Follow the instructions to order and install from a CD here. If you do not have a Dial-up CD please order a CD at http://cdorder.msn.com

Broadband Users: Ensure you are connected to the internet before downloading and installing the Client Software.

1. Open a new browser, go to https://membercenter.msn.com/article.aspx?pa=MC_ART_DownloadMSNSoftware

2. Sign-in using the primary email account

3. Click on Download and install the latest MSN software and click “Install Now”

4. Click “Run” when prompted and follow the download instructions.

5. On your desktop you should now see an icon “MSN Installer”. It may take up to a minute or two for the Installer icon to appear on the desktop

Note: if you do not see “copying files” or the “installation wizard” even after a minute or two click on the MSNInstaller.exe to launch the installation wizard

6. On the Are you currently connected to the Internet? page please selects I'm currently connected to the Internet and click Next

7. On the next screen please enter your email address/password and click Next

Note: If you have a dial-up subscription and are currently using DSL or LAN connection, on the Configure Dial-up Internet Access Now? Page please choose No, I'll configure Dial-Up Internet Access later and click Next

8. Enter your name as shown on the Review and sign the agreements page and click I Accept

9. Click Next to complete installation

10. Once the installation has completed the install wizard will close and you should click on the MSN.exe on your desktop to launch the MSN Client.

{03}Install McAfee® Antivirus Plus

If using Internet Explorer:

1. Open a browser and go to http://membercenter.msn.com

2. Sign-in using the primary e-mail address and password

3. Click Install McAfee® AntiVirus Plus - MSN Edition located under Quick Links, go to step 4.

If using MSN Explorer Software

1. Sign into the MSN Explorer software using your primary e-mail address and password

2. From the navigation bar, click Safety

3. Click on the option Virus Guard or Firewall

Note You must sign in with your primary e-mail address to download the software.

4. On the McAfee User License Agreement screen, scroll to the bottom of the page and click I Agree.

5. On the Download Your McAfee Software page, click Download. Click Run when prompted. (you will be prompted twice)

Note You may be prompted to click “yes” to allow installation of the McAfee software

6. On the Choose your protection screen (shown below) both McAfee Personal Firewall and McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware are checked for download. Click Next to begin the download.

If you do not want to install both programs, uncheck the program you do not want to install and then click Next.

7. On the Install Now screen, click Next. A progress bar displaying the progress of your installation will display.

Note: Installation time will vary depending on your internet connection speed.

8. Click Finish after the installation has completed.

{04}Install Webroot® Spysweeper

If using Internet Explorer:

1. Open a browser and go to http://membercenter.msn.com.

2. Sign-in using your primary e-mail address and password

3. Click Install Webroot® Spy Sweeper for MS located under Quick Links. Go to Step 4.

If using MSN Explorer:

1. Sign in to MSN Explorer using your primary e-mail address and password.

2. From the navigation bar, click Safety.

3. Click Anti Spyware.

Note: You must sign in with your primary e-mail address to download the software.

4. Before proceeding, write down the installation key code provided on the download and install page.

5. Click on the download link for your version of Windows.

6. Click Run when prompted (you will be prompted twice).

Note: You may be prompted to click “yes” to allow installation of Webroot Spy Sweeper.

7. Enter the key code you wrote down in Step Four. Click Agree & Install. A progress bar displaying the progress of your installation will display.

Note: Installation time will vary depending on your internet connection speed.

8. Click Finish after the installation has completed.

{05}Password Reset Help

Go to the URL https://account.live.com/resetpassword.aspx.
Select the option ‘I forgot my password’.
Select ‘Reset your password’.
Enter the Windows Live ID that requires the password reset.
Enter the characters shown and select ‘Next’.
The options you see here are the options available to reset password for your account.

Note If you’ve selected to retrieve link via SMS or alternate email, you will need to wait for the link to be sent.

If you’ve selected to answer SQ/SA, you will be able to reset password after confirmation of answer.

7. If you’re unable to reset the password on your own (exhausted all options listed above) you will need to contact Customer Support. Click here for contact details.

ownership of your account.

{06}Order an MSN CD

The below steps will help you order an MSN CD online

1. Open a browser, go to https://cdorder.msn.com/.

2. Choose the reason why you would like to order a new CD.

3. Make sure the shipping address is the right shipping address and click "Next".

Note: If the address is not correct please close the browser window or tab. Click here and follow steps to change your address information online.

4. A confirmation message will be displayed indicating the time it will take for the CD to be shipped, when you are done on this screen click "Finish".
